Digital Body Kit
Real-time installation interactive artwork for exhibition
Digital Body Kit is an interactive art project based on Yeesookyung's Daily Drawing series that invites audience participation. The audience is given 300 components, which are divided into three groups based on Yee's 55 drawings. They are to be assembled in real time in a single virtual space using two tablets.

Nodes in a tablet that combines living things and ornaments are linked together to form a participant's own organism. A painting can be expanded indefinitely by continuously connecting nodes, allowing the combination of heterogeneous organisms beyond the realm of reality, similar to Yee's drawings. The other tablet can be used to apply various special effects to the virtual space in which the organism exists, resulting in interactions between the body and the effects.
When a member of the audience approaches the screen, the organism that dances in virtual space begins to move in response to the person's gesture. Participants can experiment with de-physical behavior while performing various movements because they will encounter organisms that do not respond one-to-one with the human body to move in their own way. By looking at it, the audience can experiment with more gestures to simulate leaving one's body.

<디지털 바디 키트>는 이수경 작가의 매일 드로잉에서 모티브를 얻은 관람객 참여형 인터랙티브 아트입니다. 이수경의 드로잉 55점에서 얻은 생명체, 장신구, 특수효과로 구성된 약 300개의 파트는 두 개의 태블릿을 사용하여 실시간으로 하나의 가상공간에서 재조합됩니다.
생명체와 장신구를 조합하는 태블릿에서는 노드(Node)를 서로 이어 참여자만의 유기체를 만듭니다. 노드를 계속 연결하는 방식으로 끝없이 확장될 수 있기 때문에 이수경의 드로잉처럼 현실의 범주를 벗어난 이질적 유기체 조합을 가능하게 합니다. 특수효과를 선택하는 태블릿에서는 유기체가 부유하는 가상공간에 다양한 효과를 적용하고 유기체들과 상호작용하도록 합니다.
스크린 앞에 참여자가 다가가면 가상공간 속에서 춤추고 있던 유기체는 참여자의 몸짓에 맞춰 움직이기 시작합니다. 다양한 동작을 취할 때 인간의 몸과 일대일로 대응하지 않는 유기체가 자신만의 방식으로 움직이는 것을 마주하며 참여자는 탈-신체적 행동을 실험해볼 수 있습니다.
