Seoul Internatinal Book Fair 2023

interactive artworks and related designs for a fair



Nonhuman Archive and Being Nonhuman are participatory interactive artworks that explore the 'Nonhuman' subject of the SIBF 2023.
We intend to give visitors a chance to rethink the nonhumans around us and rebuild our relationship with them by revealing the nonhumans in the virtual 3D universe in the form of illustrations and writings and via the experience of being a nonhuman through AR.


〈비인간 아카이브〉와 〈비인간-되기〉는 2023 서울국제도서전의 주제 ‘비인간, 인간을 넘어 인간으로’를 다루는 참여형 인터랙티브 아트입니다.
우주 속에 가득한 비인간 존재들을 그림과 문자의 형태로 펼쳐보고, 직접 비인간이 되어 보는 경험을 통해 우리 곁의 비인간을 새롭게 바라보고 이들과의 관계를 다시 정립해 나가는 기회가 되길 바랐습니다.

In addition to creating two interactive artworks, we designed the exhibition space and graphic design of the Illustrators Room, where the artworks were presented.
Also, Wacom Korea provided tablets as a sponsorship so that visitors could sketch in a more immersive environment.


두 개의 인터랙티브 아트워크가 진행된 “일러스트레이터스 룸”의 전시공간 디자인과 그래픽 디자인을 함께 진행하였습니다.
또한, 행사장을 찾은 관람객들이 보다 몰입된 환경에서 그림을 그릴 수 있도록 “한국 와콤”에서 타블렛을 협찬하였습니다.




Nonhuman Archive
비인간 아카이브

Nonhuman Archive is an interactive artwork in which visitors may express their own imagined ‘Nonhuman’ in drawings and words, bringing them together in one virtual universe to share their artwork and thoughts.

〈비인간 아카이브〉는 관람객이 자유롭게 자신이 상상하는 ‘비인간’을 그림과 단어로 표현하고, 하나의 가상의 우주 속에 함께 모아 서로의 작품과 생각을 공유하는 인터랙티브 아트워크입니다.




Being Nonhuman
비인간-되기

Being Nonhuman is an interactive artwork where visitors may sketch and submit a ‘nonhuman’ they want to be and then put it on each other's non-human faces using a machine learning-based AR mask.

〈비인간-되기〉는 관람객이 되고 싶은 ‘비인간’을 그려 제출한 뒤, 머신러닝을 기반한 AR 마스크 체험 페이지에서 서로가 그린 비인간을 얼굴에 써보는 인터랙티브 아트워크입니다.
