Audio Visualizer Series

#1 Particle Speaker
The note and volume of the music are replaced by the color and travel distance of the particle emitted from the ring. While the music is playing, countless particles dance in various forms. This work is a kind of homage to Matthias Müller's fascinating 3D audio visualizer built with 3ds Max / Krakatoa / Fumefx / After Effect.

#2 Phyllotaxis Speaker
In botany, phyllotaxis or phyllotaxy is the arrangement of leaves on a plant stem. Phyllotactic spirals form a distinctive class of patterns in nature. This sound visualizer is inspired by Daniel Shiffman's p5 tutorial video creating phyllotaxis pattern. Phyllotaxis pattern-shaped holes in the speaker are bouncing balls that react to amplitude and frequency of sound.
